On the third day of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) being Sunday witnessed around 11,000 visitors at JECC in Sitapura. People from smaller cities near Delhi, Chandigarh, Agra and Jaipur also visited JJS with their friends and family. Numerous enquiries were also received for jewellery worn during wedding and other related ceremonies. JJS not only showcases finished jewellery collections but also packaging products, tools, equipment, industry-related technologies and institutes offering gemmology and jewellery design courses. This was informed by Chairman of JJS, Mr. Vimal Chand Surana.

Fine Jewellery Auction

Secretary of JJS, Mr. Rajiv Jain said that a special attraction of the show this year too, is a fine jewellery auction by JJS-IJ (Jaipur Jewellery Show – Indian Jeweller). As many as 61 exquisite jewellery pieces from across India are available for bidding during the show. The pieces include bridal sets, necklaces, rings, earrings, designer bracelets, brooches and men accessories. Some brands have also designed pieces like hourglass, rings with watches and much more especially for the auction as per the theme this year – ‘Timepieces’. The base price of jewellery ranges from Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 42,00,000.

Stalls for Budding Designers 

Media Coordinator of JJS, Mr. Ajay Kala said that looking to the forthcoming wedding seasons there are a large number of queries relating to bridal jewellery at JJS this time. Budding Designer stalls at the show are providing a platform to the young designers to connect with customers and people of the gem & jewellery fraternity. The young designers displayed extreme talent by displaying jewellery with techniques like studded jewellery, repoussé and chasing, brass work and much more. The stalls are also generating many business enquires with trade visitors showing a keen interest in creative and innovative designs offered by them.

Daily Raffle Draw

The Chief Guest of the daily raffle draw ceremony was Mr. Rajiv Arora who drew the winning entries. The winner was Mr. Nitin Sodhi. The sponsor for the draw was Shree GK Chudiwalas.

Jewellery Making Machinery

Like every year, machinery used for 3D printing (by many a 3d printing service these days), laser welding, engraving, jewellery casting, gold & silver plating machines, stone testing machinery and much more is an added feature of JJS. Trade visitors wishing to expand their businesses or upgrade to newer technologies are flocking to the stalls displaying varied types of jewellery making machinery. A special ‘Photo Studio’ machine which is the perfect solution for capturing 360 degrees, still and 3D photos for cataloguing jewellery collections has also been exhibited here. Photos clicked in the machine can be transferred online easily.

Gemmology and Jewellery Design Courses and Trade Publications

Gemmology and Jewellery design institutions like – GIA, IIGJ, GJSCI, among others have also set up stalls at the show to offer various courses in jewellery, gemstones and coloured gemstones essentials. Jewellery enthusiasts and students have evinced keen interest in the various trade publications stalls who are displaying books on jewellery, minerals, enamels, metals and much more.

Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF)

The Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) witness a successful third day with visitors attending the colourful and innovative domes dedicated to national as well as international designers. Jewellery artist, Ms. Toshi Choksi was also illustrating visitors wearing jewellery at the festival. People also enjoyed the mellifluous sitar recital by Rajasthani folk musicians. The festival is an integrated part of JJS and has been powered by GIA.
