Teachers and the Principals from as many as 11 schools of Jaipur participated in the orientation for the forthcoming Blue Pottery workshop. The workshop was held at Neerja International in Jaipur. Participants were shown the process of making blue pottery tiles so that they could brief their students to appreciate the traditional craft. The teachers showed their excitement and interest in taking the unique project forward. The orientation was organised jointly by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust and Neerja International. The session was conducted by Founder, Neerja International, Ms. Leela Bordia and Mr. Sandeep Sethi, Consultant Education Program, MSMS II Museum Trust.

Principals from schools like Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School; S.R.N. International; The Palace School; Subodh Public School Airport and Fr Edward Oliveria, Saint Anselms Pink City participated in the orientation. Similarly, Art and History teachers from Seedling Modern School; Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School; S.V. Public School; Madarsa Rehmani Model School; Sanskar School and Tagore International School were also a part of the orientation.

It is to be recalled that the orientation was being held for the forthcoming 2-day ‘Blue Pottery’ workshop. The workshop is a pilot project which will host groups of 15 students along with their art teachers. The workshop will begin from 15 March. In the workshop, students will be making blue pottery tiles on historical themes. The tiles produced in the workshop will then be displayed at the ‘Jaipur History Festival 2018’
