Ahead of the 11th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) scheduled to be held from April 28 to April 30 in Jaipur, a review meeting was taken by Principal Secretary, Tourism, Art & Culture, Government of Rajasthan, Ms. Sreya Guha at the Paryatan Bhawan. She gave necessary directions to the in-charges of the various organizations for successfully organizing the annual mega travel event. Director of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Bhanwar Lal was also present on the occasion.

 Ms. Guha reviewed the schedule as well as the preparations of the event. Officials of the various departments apprised the Principal Secretary on the various arrangements being made for the event. A detailed presentation was given by the Head, FICCI Rajasthan State Council, Mr. Atul Sharma. Ms. Guha instructed the officials to take special care of the cleanliness and hygiene at the event venue as well as across the city during the 3 days of the event. She also discussed the logistic technicalities of the Durgapura railway station for showcasing the Palace on Wheels to the foreign buyers and delegates.

Senior officials of various Government departments such as Tourism, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Jaipur Police, Railways, Health Department , Airport Authority, among others were also present at the meeting.

While the inaugural session of GITB will be held at Hotel The Lalit on 28 April evening; the B2B sessions and exhibition will be showcased on 29 and 30 April at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) at Sitapura in Jaipur.

A total of 291 leading inbound foreign tour operators (FTO) from 47 countries are participating as foreign buyers and 260 Indian exhibitors spread across 300 booths are participating in this colossal bazaar. GITB 2019 will witness around 11,236 pre-scheduled, structured B2B meetings in two days. The two-day event will see fruitful networking giving a further boost to the travel trade business in the State and country. Apart from the host State – Rajasthan, Tourism Departments from as many as 10 States are also participating in the GITB.

GITB is being organized by Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan; Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). It is supported by leading national and regional associations like Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and RATO.
