The 33rd Annual Sports Day of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya was celebrated at Lily pool Grounds in Jaipur on 16 December. The Chief Guest on the occasion was HH Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur.
On the occasion, Maharaja Padmanabh Singh said that sportsmanship teaches to be fair and ethical in one’s conduct, strives to have a winning attitude. Sports prepare a child to become a liberal individual who understands the nature of teamwork and applies sporting spirit in all aspects of their life. It also plays a vital role in the holistic development of students and inculcating values like optimism and the ability to face challenges in life.
He further added that sports build self-esteem and students who are good at sports are more confident. It’s probably because of the self-discipline and dedication of sport that brings out the best in a student. The Principal Ms. Krishna Bhati and teachers of the school were also present on the occasion.
