Another successful edition of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) concluded with immense success and enthusiasm. Exhibitors have shown faith in the show and have promised to participate in next year’s edition. The 16th edition of JJS will be held from 20 December to 23 December 2019. A whopping around 40,000 visitors participated in the 4-day show which concluded at JECC in Sitapura. This was informed by Chairman of JJS, Mr. Vimal Chand Surana.

Additional Director General of Police, Mr. Rajiv Dasot said that with trade visitors coming to witness the show all over the country, ‘Jaipur Jewellery Show’ is no longer just a ‘Jaipur’ or ‘Rajasthan’ show but an all India show. JJS is the ‘Complete Show’ because here one can witness everything from rough to finished jewellery products. He was also the Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony.

Secretary of JJS, Mr. Rajiv Jain said that this year the focus of the show has been more business centric. The show successfully attracted quality buyers who visited the show with an intention to buy for their clientele. Since its inception, JJS has become a culture in itself and emerged as a trendsetter in the gem and jewellery industry. The show has also set a benchmark with top jewellery brands under one roof for other shows in India and abroad.

Media Coordinator, Mr, Ajay Kala said that JJS is the annual go-to destination for high-end jewellery trade and retail consumers. Trade visitors this year have shown a keen interest in Kundan, Polki and Jadau jewellery for functional wear. Not only this, statement pieces like earrings, rings and bracelets have also been sought out by numerous buyers for a modern and elegant look.  Looking forward to the wedding season, the use of coloured gemstone in pastel and traditional shades have also received an excellent response by one and all.

Artisan Awards

As a new initiative by the JJS Organizing Commitee, each year 2 artisans will be awarded for the masterful craftsmanship. This year the awards were bagged by Mukesh Soni for his extensive work in Meenakari and Mr. Shahabuddin for his work in carving. Both artisans received a cheque of Rs. 50,000 each.

Daily Raffle Draw and Bumper Draw

The Daily Draw of JJS was sponsored by Shree GK Chudiwalas. The winner of the daily draw on the final draw was Atul. The Bumper Draw was also announced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rajiv Dasot. The winner was Vikram. The sponsor of the Bumper Draw was JJS. It is to be recalled that on the first day the daily draw prize was bagged by Mr. Damodar Soni, on the 2nd and 3rd day the winners were Mr. Nitin Sodhi and Mr. Ramcharan Asawa respectively.

Vendor Awards

As in the past years, around 40 vendors were awarded for their continuous support to JJS. The awardees received a certificate as a token of appreciation. The awards were given away by Mr. Jain and Mr. Dasot.

‘JITO’ Business Forum Meeting at JJS

Another attraction of JJS was a business forum meeting by Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) Jaipur. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Secretary of JJS, Mr Rajiv Jain. He said that Jaipur’s coloured gemstones business and usage reached a milestone in the gem industry and now there is no distinction between precious and semi-precious gemstones.  earlier there were 9 Gemstones (Navratna) then came 84 Gemstones (Chaurasi Ratna). Presently, around 400 gemstones are cut and polished in Jaipur. President of JITO Jaipur, Mr. Vivek Kala said that Jaipur jewellers conduct business with a very low margin. Because of which, they suffer during recession. But now Jaipur has established itself as the hub of coloured gemstones. The need of the hour is to collectively work toward its progress.

Also on the occasion, Chairman of JJS, Mr. Vimal Chand Surana; Media Coordinator of JJS, Mr. Ajay Kala; Mr. Sanjay Kala; Mr. Kamal Kothari and Mr. Nirmal Bardiya mentioned the lucrative businesses opportunities in the coloured gemstones industry. And said that our talent is our strength and now the time has come to try and implement new and innovative methods of marketing and promotion for fruitful results.

Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF)

The Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) witness a successful concluding day with visitors attending the colourful and innovative domes dedicated to national as well as international designers.  Jewellery artist, Ms. Tosha Chokshi was also illustrating visitors wearing jewellery at the festival. People also enjoyed the mellifluous sitar recital by Rajasthani folk musicians. The festival is an integrated part of JJS and has been powered by GIA.
