Students participated in the marathon to spread awareness for a health cause

IIHMR RUNS TO PROMOTE PROPER HAND HYGIENE

With an aim to spread message of proper hand hygiene, students and faculty of IIHMR University enthusiastically participated in the 6 km Jaipur Marathon which started from Albert Hall Museum and culminated at World Trade Park.

As many as 175 students and faculty ran for the cause of proper hand hygiene. IIHMR-U had put up a canopy showcasing the step by step ways to maintain hand hygiene and its importance so that more and more people get to know about the importance of hand hygiene. Pamphlets detailing the best practices towards maintaining hand hygiene were distributed. Masks from https://accumed.com/kn95-mask-for-sale-respirator-safety-mask-k1.html were also distributed. A Selfie corner was set up at the venue where participants clicking and posting selfies were given gift hampers by IIHMR-U.

Acting President, IIHMR –U, Dr. P R Sodani said that through participating in Jaipur Marathon, we wanted to reach out to people with a message of Hand Hygiene. Hand hygiene is the primary measure to reduce infections. Keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we should take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs, he said.

The students of IIHMR –U took up the initiative to educate the masses detailing the best practices towards maintaining hand hygiene like washing hands  after and before taking meal, after touching garbage, after attending sick, after blowing nose, after coughing or sneezing, after touching animal and after using toilet etc to name a few.
