In an endeavour to create awareness about the growing demand in the stream of rural management, IIHMR University held a career guidance seminar at the campus.
The seminar saw participation of graduates from various streams like science, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture and forestry. It focused on providing a proper exposure to a range of careers for students who choose to study rural management and make their career in the same field. It was an openhouse session. Students raised various questions, which were answered by experts regarding admission procedure at IIHMR-U and future scope of rural management course.
On the occasion, Pro President Dr. PR Sodani gave a brief of the university and its various courses. He further said that MBA in rural management has been gaining increasing popularity in India, in particular, because the economy of our country is dependent on the agriculture. Looking at the importance of the course, The School of Development Studies at IIHMR –U, has taken up this initiative to give proper guidance to the students and brief them about the career opportunities the course can offer in future.
Earlier, Asst. Professor, IIHMR-U, Dr. Susmit Jain and Associate professor, IIHMR University, Mr Rahul Ghai, and professor Ratna Verma addressed the participants on career development, career planning and scholarships. After the seminar was over students visited the campus and departments and interacted with the faculties for further details.
