It was time to go back to the classroom for top entrepreneurs in Jaipur. An educational workshop on angel investing was conducted for 30 members of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) at Modern School in Jaipur. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sachin Kranik of ‘Mumbai Angels’ who was welcomed by Mr. Uddhav Poddar the current president, Mr. Vivek Lodha – the learning chair of EO Jaipur . The focus of the workshop was on creating an understanding of investing as an asset and creating platforms where both founders and investors can learn, invest and grow.
During the workshop, the participants learned about the importance of accessing a wide variety of start-ups and their founders. They also learned about the need to form a community of angel investors so as to exchange business ideas with each other. Furthermore, the participants understood the need for a formal and credible structure for angel investing, which facilitates the investors to enjoy low obligation so that they can interact with a wider selection of start-ups. Mr. Purushottam Modani – a serial invester also shared his experience of investing in start-ups with all the members and shared his learnings and insights. Being successful entrepreneurs themselves – EO Jaipur members took away immense value as evaluating start-ups is a different game altogether.
