As many as 8 innovative social enterprises pitched for support and networking at the one-of-a-kind event ‘Sahbhagita – Mobilising Thought Leaders of Rajasthan’ at Diggi Palace. The event was jointly organised by Startup Oasis and Atal Incubation Centre, Banasthali Vidyapith and the knowledge partner for this event was Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). The event was attended by over 40 business and thought leaders of Rajasthan who expressed great interest towards these innovative social enterprises.

Nikhil Bohra of Krimanshi Technologies presented his social enterprise which aims at improving cow health and milk production by creating a bio-tech based fodder from unused fruits and fruit portions. He informed that a whopping 70% of milk production in India is adulterated. This is because the cost of daily inputs has gone up by 83% whereas the cost of milk has only increased by 22%. By sponsoring a cow, Gaushala or pickup trucks, one can partake in this business initiative that aims to reduce poverty, raise nutrition levels and improve the livelihood of rural India.

Founder of Praveen Lata Sansthan, Ms. Bharti Singh Chauhan presented a business concept focused on empowering girls and women of age group 15 years and above of Rajasthan. She informed that these women are being trained in areas of tailoring, handicrafts, beauty & wellness, computer literacy as well as industry skills such as digital literacy, soft skills and much more.

Dr. Kohler introduced Camel Charisma as a social enterprise engaged in empowering the camel breeding Raika community of Southern Rajasthan by enabling the market access of non-violent products – primarily camel milk which has curative health properties. The organization aims at removing the stigma of consuming camel milk and cheese in India. This initiative will aid in creating a decent livelihood for rural families, conservation of camel herds and creating awareness for positive health benefits of consuming camel milk.

The other startups who made a presentation were – Sexual Health & Education (Thatmate), Livelihood for Marginalized Community of Donkey Owners (Organiko), Empowerment of Tribal Women (Gram Shree), Cleaning and Beautification of Public Spaces (Contree Management Services), Clean Water and Sanitation (Urdhavam Environmental Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) and Financial Empowerment of Women Khadi spinners as well as Gender Equality (KhaDigi).

On the occasion, CEO Startup Oasis, Mr. Chintan Bakshi said that this event is aimed at creating a cohesive environment to promote high-impact startups in Rajasthan. The programme will also help in connecting these innovative social enterprises with the business and trade fraternity of Rajasthan for support.

CEO, Atal Incubation Centre, Mr. Abhishek Pareek said that Atal Incubation Centre in Jaipur is aimed solely at working for women entrepreneurs and works dedicatedly towards promoting their startups.

Also, on the occasion a presentation was delivered by the knowledge partner, CAF India, Ms. Meenakshi Batra. She said that the organization promotes and supports all socio development causes that aids in addressing a wide cross sectorial span of donor interests.
