Jaipur, 14 October: The popular festival of Jodhpur, Marwar Festival will start from tomorrow in Jodhpur. The Department of Tourism (DOT), Government of Rajasthan like every year has planned various activities and competitions for the tourists and local populace of the city.
On Day 1 (15 October), there will be a procession from Umaid Stadium to the old city. Competitions like moustache, Turban Tying, Marwar Shree, Tug of War, Matka Race will also be the highlights of the first day. In the evening there will be cultural performance of Rajasthani folk artistes at the Clock Tower.
Similarly, on Day 2 (16 October), there will be rural sports activities, an exhibition on rural life, camel ride on sand dunes and a cultural evening of renowned Folk Artistes of Rajasthan on Full Moon (Karthik Poornima) at Sand dunes of village Osian.
